Kym Coco, RYT-200, has her master's degree in Kinesiology and is currently undergoing her 500-hour certification in yoga medicine. As a teacher of integral vinyasa yoga--moving the body with the breath--she is dedicated sharing a safe, enjoyable, and tangible practice for all capability levels.
Private Yoga Sessions
Yoga traditionally was a practice 1-on-1 with a student and their teacher. While many classes today are taught in group form, they often overlook your individual strengths and weaknesses. Working with Kym individually can provide numerous benefits to your personal practice, including:
- proper alignment to prevent injury
- customized plans to correct imbalances
- quick progression of postures in a private setting,
- and much more!
While I often have a rigorous practice of my own, I really do like to incorporate yin and restorative poses into my daily routine. In fact, the slower-paced, gentle classes are the ones I enjoy teaching the most. Below, you will find links to many classes that focus on the more inward aspects of yoga–classes where you move your body rhythmically with your breath, hold certain poses, and allow more meditation to infuse your practice.
Take one of my numerous online yoga classes so that you can continue your own practice when getting to a studio just doesn't fit into your schedule.
Gentle Yoga Classes
These slower classes use simple and foundational yoga movements to open the body. Often these are doable for those with minor injuries, or those looking to restore simply physical balance.
Restorative Yoga Classes
We use lots of props in these classes to support ourselves in long holds. These classes can facilitate healing of the body and mind, and do so in a very gentle way.
Yin Yoga Classes
This passive style of yoga holds, similar to restorative yoga at times. However, these classes are aimed at those who are already healthy (without much injury) looking to release resistance in the fascia and joints of the body.
